Theresa Kosek

Theresa Kosek is a lifelong resident of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Educated in Scranton public schools, she received her BA in Fine Arts from Wilkes University, where she studied painting under J. Philip Richards.

Following a fulfilling career as an art educator, she has recently devoted herself to painting full time. She has exhibited at the AFA Gallery, Windsor Gallery, Moscow Music and Arts Festival,and other regional fairs. Many of her works are in private collections in the U.S. and abroad.

Her interest in travel is evident in the subject matter she presents.  Her paintings evoke a quality that captures light and surface texture in her creations, and each is colored with the perceptions she felt as she experienced them. Most of her work depicts landscapes and still life, but she has also done numerous portraits on commission.

She paints both on location and in her studio in Moscow, Pennsylvania.
